The Re:Pro Health Podcast aims to raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health topics. The goal is to provide education about these topics so individuals can become better advocates for their own health.
Each episode features an interview with a health care professional or individual with lived experience who is well-acquainted in that topic. Episodes strive to answer the basic "5 W + how" questions (who, what, when, where, why, how) about that topic.

Scriptwriter/Infographics: Fiza Ali (she/her), University of Alberta MD C2027
Fiza joins this year’s team as a scriptwriter, bringing a strong passion for advancing women’s health. After spending two years conducting research in this field, she noticed how often women’s health is underrepresented in both research and clinical discussions. This realization inspired her to contribute to a group committed to amplifying women’s voices and experiences in medicine. Fiza earned her BSc (Honours) in Physiology from the University of Alberta and is part of the MD Class of 2027.
Scriptwriter/Infographics: Brooklyn Wiggins (she/her), University of Alberta MD C2029
Brooklyn grew up in Central Alberta and recently completed her master’s thesis in female exercise performance. Through this project, she noticed a lack of research and resources specific to women’s health, and limited public access to what does exist. This is a concerning disparity she hopes to help lessen through contributing to the podcast as a scriptwriter.
Scriptwriter/Infographics: Matthew Robrigado (he/him), University of Alberta MD C2026
Matt (he/him) is a 4th year student with a passion for reproductive and sexual healthcare who is returning to write for the podcast this year. From doing work looking at the safety of gender affirming hormones for teens, to spending time in the gynecology operating rooms, Matt has made equitable healthcare for marginalized populations a top priority for his future career. With the whirlwind that is the final year of med school, you could find Matt catching newborns at the Royal Alex Hospital, discussing chemotherapy at the Cross Cancer Institute, and maybe catching some sunlight in coastal B.C. if there’s time!

Lara graduated with a BA Honors in Linguistics from the University of Alberta. Lara joined the Re:Pro podcast in order to be a part of a team which not only advocates for sexual and reproductive health education, but brings the stigma out of these topics, and helps make these conversations accessible. In her free time, she enjoys learning languages and reading.
Outreach Coordinator: Sheena Corfe (she/her), University of Alberta MD C2028
Sheena is a second-year medical student from Spirit River, Alberta. In her free time she loves trying new foodie spots and hanging out with her two cats.

Janaia is a 3rd year student with a BSc in physiology and research experience in caregiving of older adults who loves all things women's health. In her free time she likes running, baking, and reading.

Soobin is a first year medical student with a BSc Honors in Psychology. She has worked extensively in the fields of mental health and education, and she is passionate about all things women’s health. In her free time, Soobin enjoys playing piano, crocheting, and hiking.
